There comes a time when you finally decide to pursue your first love. For me, that time in now!
I grew up in Northwestern Pennsylvania enjoying the beauty of the changing seasons until moving to Bradenton, FL in 2004 with my husband. We unanimously decided to trade in the snow for a Gulf view - no regrets.
My journey has taken me down several paths inclusive of becoming a paralegal in a law office, to my most recent career as a real estate appraiser. Although, I enjoyed these professions, I am now fortunate enough to do something I truly enjoy. Art has always been my first passion! I began my career at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in graphic design. My change in careers has not been a difficult decision. I am just now able to embrace it in my life.
My art pieces consist of an eclectic array of wall art, plaques, furniture and shelves, to name a few. Each piece incorporates hand painting and include variations of mixed media to give the piece originality. No piece is ever duplicated and is original in its own right, adding to the uniqueness. My imagination leads me, as I create. My pieces may start with a concept, however there is never a pre-designed plan. The majority of the materials utilized are second hand, which were destine for a landfill, or compliments of mother nature. I enjoy the challenge of taking a bland piece and giving it new life with color and dimension. My goal is to make each item distinct. Each piece is a process of creation and experimentation with different mediums and techniques. The beauty of art is that there are no rules. I am guided by a self implied rule that if I can produce a piece to my satisfaction then others will appreciate it as well.
My hope is you, the buyer, will enjoy the piece as much as I did creating it.
Life is to short to not do what you want .

Introducing the owners of The Treasure Chest, Doniele Disney-Humphrey from Maryland, and husband, Damien Humphrey from Miami, FL. We have a daughter who is three years old, named Brooklin Starr Humphrey.
Damien and I had been contemplating opening a business for several years and it was only until recently that we had finally decided what type of business that we would like to go into. Both of us has agreed that it would have to be something that we both would enjoy. Both coming from artistic backgrounds we share a passion for all types of Art, from photography, home decor, fine art and handmade items. So we then knew that opening a store and dedicating it to amazing local artists would then become our new passion. Though we have not been able to work on as many projects as we had hoped, we have been helping to promote other local artists' and their masterpieces. Our artistic passion revolves around creating hand-painted and shabby chic furniture, wood working, hanging signs and other coastal themed home decor. We hope to spend more time on our own creative masterpieces in the near future!

Born in Long Island, New York of Lithuanian descent. Later relocated to Bradenton, Fl.
I am a self-taught artist that paints from feelings and emotions. If I do not feel it, I cannot paint it. I am influenced by the people and artists that start movements and change art community's. My favorite artist is Voka. http://www.facebook.com/artvoka My media of choice is whatever I am feeling at that time, but I tend to lean towards acrylics and watercolors. I also do hand painted furniture. I love to interact with the art community on social media so feel free to reach out to me. Artist Statement
When buying from an artist, you're buying more than just an object. You are buying hundreds of hours of failure and experimentation. You are buying days, weeks, and months of frustration and moments of pure joy. You AREN'T just buying a thing, you're buying a piece of heart, part of a soul, a moment of someone's life. Most importantly, you're buying the artist more time to do something they are passionate about! http://www.facebook.com/brandonscottartworks http://brandonscottartworks.weebly.com/ http://pinterest.com/brandonscottart https://twitter.com/brandonscottart

The world to me revolves around art. Different styles of art define each place I’ve been. Each location I’ve stayed and put my roots down. Lancaster, Pennsylvania is very important to me. I grew up there and lived there till recently when I moved here to Bradenton, Florida. My jewelry is a combination of the two states. Pennsylvania is simple where Florida is filled with color. Put the two together and you have my designs.
I went to college and graduated in 2010 at Arcadia University where I majored in Photography and also took many jewelry classes. It was those classes that made me want to work with sterling silver and gemstones. My specialty is making sterling silver chains. It is very tedious work but I enjoy the process of forming a link and constructing a chain. I also love to manipulate the metal to create organic shapes. I strive for pure simplicity while making my pieces as unique as possible. Jewelry is a wearable art that is used to express oneself without saying a word. I think that’s why I love making and wearing jewelry so much.
I recently moved from South Carolina a year ago to Bradenton. Before SC, I lived on Anna Maria Island for thirteen years. Now I’m back in Bradenton for a long time .
About 4 years ago I took up knitting, I learned the basic stitches from my mother. Today I attend a knitting group and am learning some new things as well as making projects. I love to knit and have even started to crochet a bit.
In my free time, I also volunteer with Manatee Animal Services and the Animal Network, which works to save and adopt out abandoned dogs and cats in Manatee County. My Boston Terrier, Stella, is a rescue from Animal Services.
Lastly, I hope you enjoy my scarves and will consider one for yourself or as a gift for that special someone.
Sincerely,
Christina Jordan

My name is Kaitlynn Breder. I am the owner and designer behind the Baby Bugger Cover brand. I’m currently 27 years old and a stay-at-home super mom and US Army super wife residing in the bayou at Fort Polk, Louisiana! I’m originally from South Jersey (Go Eagles!). I spent a few years living in Myrtle Beach, SC while I attended Coastal Carolina University. I received my degrees in Spanish & Business Marketing. I have 3 little baby beans (Zoey, Maddox & Skylar) who call me “Mom”. Without them and my supportive husband and family, there would be no Baby Bugger Cover as we know it today!
It has been a winding road with lots of detours that has led me to the place I am at today. I am beyond thankful to have discovered something that allows me to stay home with my awesome kids, express my creativity and of course be a financial contributor to my household. It’s extremely exciting and flattering to now have my items sold at The Treasure Chest!
Outside of momhood and sewing, I love seeking good live music and good new food. I’m always eager for the next adventure and traveling opportunity. Some of my favorite places I’ve ventured to include Madrid, Spain; Valparaiso, Chile; Grand Cayman Island & Paris, France. I have been skydiving a couple of times and enjoy pushing myself to the extreme! A few of my top personal goals outside of family and business are (in random order): Win big on a TV game show, climb Mount Kilimanjaro and master the French & Mandarin languages. I truly enjoy meeting new people of all sorts of cultures and backgrounds. That is one of the ways I stay continually inspired! My favorite quote to live by is “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” by Gandhi.
“It’s through music, I have learned to love.
It’s through dancing I have learned to live.
It’s through dancing to the music I become AliVE!” –-me =)

JOSH RUBADOU------ artist/sculptor
A native to Florida , born in Bradenton "with a few years visit to Pennsylvania when I was younger. Growing up on the Braden river learning the ins and outs of river life; canoeing, swimming, fishing, camping, hiking, etc. I now appreciate the silence and solitude that I never took advantage of in my youth. During my high school years, I acquired the nickname McGyver as I was always creating "something from nothing" my friends would say. In my spare time I would use whatever I saw to create art or objects of interest; cow bones, weathered wood, when the river would dry up it would supply me with endless resources and ideas. By the time I was eighteen, it was time to start a new adventure, where I did a 15 year stint at a local boat company, Wellcraft Marine. I started off cabinet building but the powers that be felt I was better suited to repairing damage, laminate, upholstery and patinated surfaces. During those years I continued creating art and unique sculptures selling them here or there.
But little did I know was one person that would change my life forever and 2005 came around and it was time to marry her. October 31, 2006 when one my best pieces' of work joined our family, little Sam Rubadou. So the company I was working for shuts down and whats next, but a small custom metal fab shop where all type of work was created stainless steel, aluminum, copper, steel, etc. Some jobs a staircase for the Sarasota historical tower, giant sun shades for the newest addition to the Ringling school of the arts , A spiral bronze staircase painted after installation, custom work for 1-800-Ask-Gary, the list goes on and on. Then on 04-27-09 came my second greatest work of art, Rebecca Anglina Rubadou. Time for a change, firetrucks and ambulances are the life for me now customer changes, custom cabinets, custom metal work, damage control, quality control, engineering and re-engineering were all in a days work. After 2 years of perfect attendance, spotless record praises from all of the higher ups I get laid off for "changes in the company". This is when realized no matter what your work ethics are or how hard you work sometimes it just doesn’t matter .So here I am doing something I love without all the hassles and B*&%$#@T of a corporation holding me back enjoying my time on this earth while I'm here.

As an artist I take pride and enjoy using recycled materials to create art.
My painted glass is created in a smoke free environment. My bottles have many uses, such as to hold oils or vinegar, to hold flowers, for bath oil, dish liquid, as an oil lamp using a ceramic wick, or just by themselves, perhaps in a sunny window. Some customers add wine and give as a gift. My lighted bottles make great nightlights or give a warm glow to the mantel, patio or porch. I also create reed diffusers and incense burners, as well as handpainted coffee mugs and dishware.
For custom orders, I require half of the item price before beginning the design. Balance plus shipping is due upon completion. Deposit is nonrefundable.
Lights for bottles are guaranteed for 45 days and will be replaced at no charge with photo proof that they are out (photo of lights plugged into outlet).
